A weekend in the Grampians

I recently spent a few days and nights in a cabin in Halls Gap, a small town nestled in the Grampians, a beautiful mountain range and national park. The weather was beautiful – wispy mountain mists one day, azure blue sky the next.

Everyday I explored the land around me. Everything is big in Australia: the Cockatoos, the vast rolling hills stretching out from either side of endless country roads, the sky. There isn’t a sky in the world as big as an Australian sky.

But I also took the time to absorb the little details: sweet mosses, delicate blooms, fussing finches; such diversity in shape, size and colour.

No sign of the Grampians puma.
