Longing.

“Au contraire to what they do, longs I for you…”
- Trinity Roots

At sundown I look across chipped glass sea at my old friend in the distance.

Climbing lava paths barefoot, hands bark dirty and nose burnt, I used to explore the volcano, the make-believe landscape of my childhood. Now it lies shrouded in history and heavy clouds like forgotten treasure.

I long to lie in the crater listening to tuis call.

Nice view pure gin. Flip it sideways and the island is a fish eye.
